hi,

i need to call a form from another form in a Oracle forms 8i environment. To this called form i need to sent a string as parameter. This parameter should get displayed in a text item on the form and the called form should use this as a filter criteria.

the problem that i am facing is that i am unable to send the parameter and when i close the called form and further try to close the calling form the called form gets loaded again

Concerning 'paramters', please search this forum for 'parameter'. There are recent examples.

Concerning the 'form gets loaded again', search this forum for 'open_form call_form new_form'. Read and understand the differences between these three different calling methods.
