Hello there:

I wrote a program that generates .txt files and saves them on my hard drive.

I'm also trying to write a procedure that allows me to browse my hard drive folders and save the files in any folder I want. The only problem is that I cant find any internal function or procedure to browse hard drive folders.

Can somebody help me with this??

Thank you.

And where do SQL or PL/SQL come into play? You want to move files of your client from one location to another. SQL and PL/SQL however, are executed on the server. Are you looking for some Oracle Forms solution?

What I'm looking for is a PL/SQL function that allows me to browse my hard drive so I can select any folder in it to save my files.

In other words, what I want to acomplish is that when I press the save button, automatically appears a window that allows me to browse my hard drive and select any folder in it.

I'm really not sure if PL/SQL has an internal procedure or function that make this happen.

Which save button? What is your front-end?
PL/SQL does not have a save button, so you must be using something else. Please tell us what.

Depending on the version of Forms with which you are working, use 'd2kwutil' (Forms 6i) or 'web_util/webutil' (Forms 9i/10g).
