I don't think Oracle Products can connect to SQL Server. Do you have any documentation that says that SQL*Plus will connect to SQL Server?

Okay. You can connect to SQL Server.

You install V6.0.5.35 of the Oracle Client Adapter. It is available on CD from Patch 1 of 6i onwards.
